Clean once a year

To prevent premature breakdown of the stain, it’s recommended to clean your log home annually. Dust and pollen accumulation on the upper part of the logs can trap moisture, leading to prolonged dampness and deterioration of the stain.

Never pressure wash

Avoid using pressure washing as it can degrade the UV coating and the stain. Instead, we utilize a log wash product along with a garden hose for effective cleaning.

Every Third Year

By the third year, it’s advisable to clean your log home and apply one coat of UV protector as a booster. This step significantly extends the lifespan of the stain, ensuring enhanced durability and protection.

Maintaining a Log Home After Our Complete Service

Seal large checks to prevent water entrapment.
Trim foliage back at least two feet from exterior walls to promote air
circulation and allow the wood to breathe.
