GSLH offers a yearly maintenance plan

We will come to your house walk around and inspect your home. At the end we will go over all our findings and provide a detailed list of any problems, potential problems. we will then provide you with a bid. We also offer yearly log home washing. Call for more details and prices.

We provide one time and yearly maintenance programs. Prices vary. We will work with the homeowner and educate them on how to maintain their log home, to help reduce any major issues in the future.

Clean once a year

To prevent premature breakdown of the stain, it’s recommended to clean your log home annually. Dust and pollen accumulation on the upper part of the logs can trap moisture, leading to prolonged dampness and deterioration of the stain.

Never pressure wash

Avoid using pressure washing as it can degrade the UV coating and the stain. Instead, we utilize a log wash product along with a garden hose for effective cleaning.

Every Third Year

By the third year, it’s advisable to clean your log home and apply one coat of UV protector as a booster. This step significantly extends the lifespan of the stain, ensuring enhanced durability and protection.

Maintaining a Log Home After Our Complete Service

With consistent maintenance, your home can avoid the need for restoration services indefinitely. Here are some key steps to ensure its longevity:poiščite več

Seal large checks to prevent water entrapment.
Trim foliage back at least two feet from exterior walls to promote air
circulation and allow the wood to breathe.
Monitor irrigation to ensure it does not directly hit the logs during
operation.
Install gutters to minimize splatter on lower log courses.
